Regulatory Authority (EWURA) is an independent, world class regulatory
authority responsible for licensing, tariff regulation and quality of service
regulation of the electricity, water, petroleum and natural gas sectors. EWURA
has the following vacancies for which suitably qualified Tanzanian citizens are

DIRECTORATE OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS
POST TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER –
ONE POST
DUTY STATION: EWURA HEAD OFFICE
REPORT TO: DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE
AFFAIRS
Human Resources Manager will be responsible for carrying out
monitoring and supervision of overall human resources functions of the
Authority.
Main
Duties and Responsibilities:
· To manage, coordinate and implement
Human Resources policies, systems and procedures in the Authority;
· To provide the Management with
professional guidance and advice on Human Resources issues;
· To oversee HR needs forecast;
· To conduct periodic job evaluation
exercise;
· To offer support and inputs in
preparation of payroll, as and when required;
· To lead, organize and coordinate
recruitment process;
· To coordinate and supervise the
implementation of open Performance Review and Appraisal System;
· To lead, organize and coordinate
training, learning and staff development programs;
· To oversee proper attendance to
staff welfare issues;
· To translate and provide guidance on
proper application of HR policies, Laws, Regulations and circulars in dealing
with staff matters;
· To ensure that staff comply with
laid down policies, rules, regulations and code of conducts and ethics;
· To maintain staff records and staff
database;
· To undertake any other related
duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Academic
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal incumbent for this position should have the
following qualifications and experience;
· Possession of Bachelor Degree in
Human Resources Management, Public Administration or Management;
· Possession of Masters Degree or post
graduate qualifications in relevant field or Business Administration;
· Possession of strong knowledge and
applications of Tanzania Labour Laws is required;
· Possession of Knowledge and
Competence in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) application and;
· Possession of at least six (6) years
work experience in relevant field and two (2) of which should be in Senior
Position.
POST TITLE: INFORMATION AND
COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY OFFICER – ONE POST
DUTY STATION: EWURA HEAD OFFICE
REPORT TO: TECHNOLOGY
OFFICER
ICT Officer will be responsible for system operations to
ensure smooth running and maintaining appropriate ICT facilities for the
Authority’s business.
Main
Duties and Responsibilities:
·
To
install and testing of EWURA Systems;
·
Advice
Senior ICTO on matter related to users supports;
· To install and testing of both
hardware and software using realistic data to ensure the system produces
specified outputs;
· To analyze the efficiency and
effectiveness of ICT hardware, prepare report and recommend areas of
improvement;
· To support user on usage of new and
existing computer system as per existing Standard Operating Procedures;
· To test for verification and
validation of new or modified system;
· To Receive incidents from all EWURA
staff and log them as per Standard Operating Procedures;
· To respond to enquiries from clients
and help them to resolve hardware or software problems;
· To maintain a log of any software or
hardware problems detected;
· To take ownership of user problems
and be proactive when dealing with user issues;
· To support users in the use of
Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice;
· To maintain and update EWURA
website;
· To Prepare weekly, monthly and
quarterly incident management reports and;
· To Perform any other relevant duties
as may be assigned by superiors from time to time
Academic
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for this position should have the
following qualifications and experience:
· University Degree or Advanced
Diploma in Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology or
related field with significant competences in computer software applications,
operating systems and networking;
· Possession of professional
certification such as CISCO, CISA and CISM will be an added advantage;
· Relevant working experience of not
less than three (3) years in relevant field.
