OBAMA KUFIKA LEO TANZANIA


Rais wa Marekani Barack Obama  ataendelea kuelezea azma ya Marekani ya kuwa na ushirika wa  wenye nguvu wa kibiashara baina ya nchi yake na bara la  Afrika  atakapowasili Tanzania Jumatatu leo Alasiri, ambapo ni kituo chake cha mwisho katika ziara ya nchi tatu barani humo.

Rais Obama atashiriki katika mkutano na wafanyabiashara leo Jumatatu mjini Dar es Salaam  kusikiliza maoni ya wakurugenzi wakuu wa mashirika ya kibiashara na viongozi kutoka Afrika na Marekani.

White House inasema mkutano huo utashirikisha wawakilishi kutoka makampuni ya Marekani ya Coca- Cola, General Electric na Microsoft, na utahudhuriwa pia na wawakilishi wa benki ya Equity kutoka Kenya na Econnect Telecommunications ya Zimbabwe, miongoni mwa wengine.

Rais wa Benki ya maendeleo ya Afrika (ADB ) Donald Kaberuka pia atawakilisha benki hiyo kwenye kikao hicho cha pamoja. Kaberuka alisema kuwa  kuwa benki hiyo inakaribisha ziara ya rais wa Marekani na juhudi zake za kuunga mkono uwekezaji wa sekta binafsi ya Marekani katika Afrika. Benki ya Maendeleo ya Afrika inashirikiana na Marekani  katika mradi mpya uliozinduliwa na rais Obama wa kuimarisha huduma za nishati barani humo.

Mpango huo unajulikana kama “Power Africa” na utagharimu dola bilioni  8 katika kipindi cha miaka mitano ijayo.Mpango huo  pia unalenga kuimarisha huduma za umeme katika nchi sita za Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria na Liberia.

Kabla ya kikao hicho cha wafanyabiashara, rais Obama atafanya mazungumzo na rais wa Tanzania Jakaya Kikwete. Tanzania hupokea misaada mingi kutoka Marekani. Mingi inatoka kwenye mfuko wa dola milioni 700 za  malengo ya milenia kwa lengo la kuimarisha miundo mbinu yake.

Neywar wins Golden Ball award

Neymar has won the Golden Ball award as the best player of the Confederations Cup.
The Brazil striker scored in four of the team's five games at the World Cup warm-up tournament, including one in the 3-0 win over Spain in Sunday's final.
Spain midfielder Andres Iniesta was given the Silver Ball, and Brazil midfielder Paulinho was the Bronze Ball winner.
Spain striker Fernando Torres won the Golden Boot award with his five goals. Brazil forward Fred was next with the Silver Boot, also with five goals but with more minutes played. Neymar scored four goals and won the Bronze Boot.
Also, Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar won the Golden Glove award, and Spain took the Fair Play award.

Position Description:
Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University (SEKOMU) which is located in Lushoto District, Tanga Region is an institution owned by the North-Eastern Diocese of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania (NED-ELCT).
Sebastian Kolowa Memorial University is looking for a motivated, qualified, and highly experienced Tanzanian to fill a vacancy of   a Librarian in our University Library.

  1. Master’s degree in Library Science and Information Studies (With a GPA of 3.7 in the   Bachelor Degree or Grade B+  or above in the Master’s Degree)
  2. With at least 3years Working experiences preferably at University Library

SPAIN BEAT ITALY 7-6 IN A PENALTY SHOOTOUT



spain beat Italy 7-6 in a penalty shootout to advance to the final of the 2013 Confederations Cup. The match had been tied, 0-0, after extra time.

The match started off very well. It was pretty open, and Italy were giving Spain a lot of problems. Italian football expert Paolo Bandini was just happy to see that the Azzurri didn't concede a goal after 15 minutes like they did at Euro 2012.

RAIS BARACK OBAMA LEO IJUMAA ANAELEKEA AFRIKA KUSINI



Rais wa Marekani Barack Obama leo Ijumaa anaelekea Afrika Kusini ambapo miongoni mwa shughuli zake atazuru kisiwa cha Robben Island  alikozuiliwa jela rais wa zamani Nelson Mandela kwa miaka 27.

Rais Obama anakwenda nchini humo wakati bw. Mandela akiwa katika hali mbaya ya afya. Rais huyo wa zamani anatibiwa katika hospitali moja ya Pretoria.

Alihamis rais Obama alisema ziara yake katika eneo ambalo watumwa wa Afrika waliondoka barani humo kwenda Amerika kaskazini imempa hamasa mpya ya kulinda haki za binadamu. Bw. Obama alitembelea kisiwa cha Goree kwenye ufukwe wa Senegal Alhamis.

Wanahistoria wanasema maelfu ya Waafrika wanaume kwa wanawake wakiwa wamefungwa minyororo walishikiliwa huko na kupitia kile kilichoitwa mlango wa kutorudi tena kupanda meli ya watumwa wakielekea bahari ya Atlantic.

Rais Obama alisema ziara yake katika kisiwa hicho ilimpa hisia kali na nafasi ya kutathmini upya biashara ya utumwa katika karne ya 16 na 19.
