TRA would
like to recruit dynamic experienced and qualified personnel to fill vacant
position in the Taxpayers Services and Education Department. Applications are
therefore invited from suitably qualified Tanzanians for the following
position:
PRINCIPAL PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER
1.
Purpose of the Job
To maintain the corporate reputation of the Authority
2. Major
Activities of the Job
(i)
Review newspapers and provide any recommendations for action.
(ii)
Coordinate the production of the TRA magazine (Revenews) and updates /
articles for the newsletter.
(iii)
Supervise the media relations and graphic designing activities of the
department/TRA.
(iv)
Perform TRA Public Relations activities and protocol issues including meetings
and Stakeholders Forum meetings.
(v)
Prepare TRA press releases /statements.
(vi)
Prepare speeches for management and other TRA senior staff for different
occasions.
(vii)
Develop and implement the TRA communication policy.
(viii) Represent
TRA on media appearances and events.
(ix)
Monitoring of social media on news related to TRA
(x)
Supervise design graphics for billboards,
leaflets, brochures, pamphlets, bumpers sticker, and other advertising media to
protect the TRA image.
(xi)
Edit educational campaign materials such as leaflets, create and design
messages, and write speeches.
(xii)
Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor.

Minimum Job Requirements
3.1. Qualification
(i)
First Degree in Mass Communications or Marketing or Journalism or Public
Relations or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
(ii)
Masters Degree in Mass Communications or Marketing or Journalism or
Public Relations or its equivalent from a recognised Institution/University.
(iii)
Postgraduate Studies in Taxation or Customs or Psychology or its
equivalent will be an added advantage.
3.2. Experience
The applicant MUST have at least five (5) years of relevant working
experience.
